What is the Scientific Method?

The scientific method is a process for experimentation that is used to explore observations and answer questions. Scientists use the scientific method to search for cause and effect relationships in nature.

The steps of the scientific method are to:

  1. Ask a Question 
  2. Do Background Research
  3. Construct a Hypothesis
  4. Seek Funding (Step added recently)
  5. Modify study’s goals to align with the vision of potential funders (Step added recently)
  6. Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment
  7. Analyze Your Data and Draw a Conclusion
  8. Communicate Your Results

Elaboration on new step (4&5):

Seek funding from government /other sponsors to fund your project needs.

Modify studying goals to secure fund from interested sponsors.
